How to delegate

Delegating your ADA to CBH takes a few minutes and a single transaction. Your ADA never leave your wallet: you only assign the stake weight of your balance to our pool, you keep your keys, and you can spend, re-delegate or stop staking whenever you like. This guide shows what you need, how the flow looks in any wallet, and the exact steps for Eternl and Lace. If your wallet is already in your browser, you can skip the guide entirely.

Before you start

  • A Cardano wallet: a browser extension or mobile app such as Eternl or Lace.
  • Some ADA in that wallet. There is no minimum; any amount earns its share.
  • About two minutes: one search, one confirmation, done.
  • You never send ADA anywhere. Delegating is a permission, not a transfer.

The flow at a glance

Whatever wallet you use, delegating is the same three moves: open the staking section, search for the ticker CBH, check the pool ID, and confirm with the delegate button. The schema below shows that flow in a neutral wallet view; yours will look a little different, but the order is the same.

Our pool

Every wallet identifies a pool either by its ticker or by its pool ID. The ticker is short and easy to type, but tickers are not unique on Cardano. If your wallet shows more than one result, compare the pool ID below before you delegate.

Delegating with Eternl

Eternl is a full featured Cardano wallet, available as a browser extension and as a mobile app.

  1. Install Eternl. Download it from the official site eternl.io and follow its setup to create a new wallet or restore an existing one. Only ever install a wallet from its official source, and never share or type your recovery phrase anywhere but in the wallet itself: anyone who has it owns your ADA.
  2. Fund your wallet. Send the ADA you want to stake to a receiving address of that wallet. Staking works with the balance you hold, so the ADA stay where they are.
  3. Find CBH. Open the Staking tab and switch to the Pool List. Type CBH into the pool search field, or paste our pool ID from above to be certain it is the right pool.
  4. Delegate and sign. Select CBH in the result list and press Delegate, review the transaction summary with the network fee and sign with your spending password. On a first delegation the refundable 2 ₳ stake key deposit is added.

Delegating with Lace

Lace is the light wallet built by Input Output, the company behind Cardano, and runs as a browser extension.

  1. Install Lace. Download it from the official site lace.io and create a new wallet or restore an existing one. As with any wallet: install it from the official source only, and keep your recovery phrase to yourself: no support team, and certainly not ours, will ever ask you for it.
  2. Fund your wallet. Transfer the ADA you want to stake to your Lace address. They remain yours and spendable at all times.
  3. Find CBH. Open Staking in the left-hand menu and switch to Browse pools. Search for CBH. If several pools share the ticker, paste our pool ID and compare it in the pool details.
  4. Delegate and sign. Open the CBH entry, press Stake on this pool, review the fee summary in the confirmation drawer and confirm with your password. If it is your first delegation, Lace registers your stake key in the same transaction; that is the refundable 2 ₳ deposit.

What happens after you delegate

Cardano settles staking in epochs of five days. Your delegation is recorded at the next epoch boundary, when the network takes its snapshot; about two epochs later your stake is active and earning; and the first rewards land in your wallet roughly 15 to 20 days after you signed. From then on rewards arrive automatically every epoch, every 5 days, without any further transaction from you.
